Torreggiani

Le Tenute Torreggiani sono state fondate nel 1408 e sono ad oggi la quattordicesima azienda più antica d’Italia e una delle 100 più vecchie dei Mondo. Un valore unico, elemento stesso di serietà e professionalità, riconosciuto dal Governo Italiano, che ha voluto insignito l’azienda, tramite UnionCamere, con il premio “Italia 150. Le imprese che hanno fatto la storia d’Italia”. Le tenute appartengono da sempre ai Torreggiani, nobile e antichissima famiglia fiorentina trasferitasi ad Asola (Mn) nel 1378 e che da sempre si è dedicata alla produzione agricola e vitivinicola. Secoli di attività ed impegno, nel corso dei quali la famiglia ha gestito e operato in maniera aperta e moderna le proprie attività e possedimenti, senza tralasciare la stima per le tradizioni ed il rispetto per il territorio. Una storia lunga 19 generazioni. L’Azienda Torreggiani è un gruppo agricolo che opera nel settore vini, con due realtà. Franciacorta e Montenetto. Il nucleo originale dell’Azienda Agricola Torreggiani, si estende sul MonteNetto, la prima collina delle Alpi, posta a 5 km a sud di Brescia, nell’omonimo Parco Regionale del MonteNetto. Inserito nella Doc Capriano del Colle e Montenetto di Brescia IGT, una delle più piccole Denominazioni d’Origine d’Italia. L’azienda ha un’estensione di circa 15 ettari, destinati prevalentemente alla produzione di vini rossi e bianchi a base trebbiano Lugana. Torreggiani è presente nel cuore della Franciacorta, ed esattamente Paderno Franciacorta, con una propria cantina specializzata nella produzione di Bollicine, Brut, Satèn, Millesimato, Rosè. In 1495 Torreggiani becomes at the beginning partner and laterstepfathe by Aldo Manuzio, the most important printer of his time and the first publisher in the modern sense, famous for creating an innovative printing production, better known as “Aldine”. In 1499 the Doge Agostin Barbarigo grants Torresani’s Family with the noble title of Viscount of Gazzoli, the location near Asola where Torresani had their possessions. In more than 100 years of activities, Torresani cooperate with all Popes, Kings and main families of Europe. Company Torreggiani is the name of the Vineyard Company located on the slopes of Montenetto the hill emerging from the surrounding plains and stretches between the towns of Capriano del Colle and Poncarale. Close to the city of Brescia near Milan, it’s located into the Regional Protection Park of Montenetto. The company is also present in Franciacorta, with its own reference for the production of all types of Franciacorta Docg: Brut, Millesimato and Satèn. The soil is calcareous and loose, geologically of morainic origin, as the white pebblestones which copiously surface the slopes of the hills planted with vines demonstrate. Not only wine, but culture. This is the strong point of Torreggiani specialization in historic rebirth of wines. A philosophy which has its hub in the valuation and rediscovery of that wealth of knowledge, traditions. After nearly 450 years of oblivion, the winery has revived the wine of the nobility of the XVI Century, as described by Agostino Gallo, the most important agronomist of the Italian Renaissance, author of the "Twenty days in agriculture and the pleasures of the villa," published in 1564 .
